CNC Machinist/Programmer

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in programming CNC machines to produce high-quality components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for both Lathe and Milling machining operations, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Must have 3+ years of Mastercam 19 or up
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machining equipment.
  • Conduct inspections using coordinate measuring machines, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools to ensure product quality.
  • Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles in programming and inspection tasks.
  • Maintain tooling inventory and ensure all tools are calibrated and in good working condition.
  • Fabricate components as needed while adhering to safety standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for designing parts and tooling.
  • Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
  • Experience with tooling setup, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control purposes.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Quality Control Inspector

Job description:

Job Summary: Axis Technologies seeks an experienced QC Inspector who can test, document, troubleshoot and prepare our products for launch. The successful candidate will have a creative innovative approach to his or her work and will never shy away from offering frank observations and recommendations. We’re looking for a highly organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our products to the next level in terms of safety, security and accuracy. A proven track record of experience is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity
  • Maintain, test and troubleshoot all instrumentation devices
  • Test a certain percentage of all products based on industry standards
  • Inspecting parts utilizing a CMM, micro-vu, height gage, calipers, micrometers, pin gages, and thread gages
  • Complete Quality Assurance Inspection Reports and create certification packages
  • Report nonconformance’s to senior management for resolution

Requirements for Quality Inspector:

  • 2+ years of mechanical inspector experience
  • GD&T a plus
  • Multi-task within the department
  • Experience with Brown & Sharpe, Mitutoyo Mistar 555 CMM system is a plus
  • Knowledge of AS9102 FAI’s
